This family-friendly event is enjoyed by over 10,000 spectators who spend a casual yet sophisticated day in Chester County’s horse country.The Willowdale Steeplechase is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization based in Kennett Square, PA that hosts a day of world-class steeplechase racing for the benefit of the following charities: The Stroud Water Research Center, The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine New Bolton Center and Quest Therapeutic Services, Inc.May 12th-17th: Nomadic Pies celebrates 2 years! The Week of May 12th we celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of Nomadic Pies and will offer special promotions all week! Come out to one of our weekly marketsMay 17th: American Revolution Reenactment at Thornbury Farm in West Chester, PA. This is a huge reenactment. 400-500 re-enactors- horse and cannons will be showing a great engagement. Settlers and troops will be camping on the battle field located on the back of the farm and Sandy Hollow park with two days of events.Several Generals from England are coming over to pay respect to the troops that died that day- September 11,1777.26,000 troops, the largest battle of the ENTIRE American Revolution! Right here in Chester County!May 18th, 1:00pm : The 6th Annual Energy Independence Day in Modena, PA. Featuring the music of Mason Porter, Brad Hinton, and the Tin Bird Choir. Midnight Munchies, Nomadic PIes, Dino the Ice Cream Man, and Victory beer will be onsite with something for everyone. There will be children's activities and plenty of fun for the adults too.June 14th, 12:00pm-6:00pm: The 3rd Annual Brandywine Food and Wine Festival at The Brandywine Valley Association. The Brandywine Valley Wine Trail is showcasing the best of what the Brandywine Valley and surrounding Philadelphia Countryside has to offer.September 19th-21st: Plantation Field International Horse Trials in Unionville, PA.
